Martin Vasilišin
My name is Martin Vasilišin. I was born in Bardejov and I'm currently studying at Gymnazium Leonarda Stockela. Throughout my life I've been interested in computers, sports and traveling. Outside of school I enjoy racing my bike and photography. For the last few years I've been studying nuclear energy, global issues, and international and domestic politics. In my presentation I will try to show you that nuclear energy is not scary at all, explain its many positive sides. and explain how it can play a key role in creating a carbon dioxide-free Earth.

Oliver Tomko
Oliver is a diligent GLS student and a member of the 3.G family. Despite his concentration on studying, he is always down for every fun and friends. When he is not working on himself, you will find him outside playing sports or with a detective book in his hands. In terms of school, he is interested in human-focused subjects like biology, geography, and history. Therefore, his speech will intertwine all of those disciplines under the topic "Seven (Untraditional) Wonders of the World."

Vlado Slosarčík
Vlado Slosarcik has studied 3D modelling and materials for more than 8 years and is an avid enthusiast of videogames and CGI. He has even found success in a virtual reality and 3D modelling company. Vlado will be happy to share the secrets of creating virtual objects and making them look and behave realistically. He will also tell you how to get into the craft, why you should be interested in the craft, and explain how to become successful in this form of computerized art.

Timotej Olejník
My name is Timotej Olejnik. I was born in Peterborough. England. I have always been interested in human anatomy. I've always been gripped by the subject because of how interesting our bodies are. It's always bewildered me that we are made of millions of cells that work in melody to keep our bodies functioning. It also fascinates me how our bodies react to incoming danger, increases in temperature, etc. I would like to study biology further and even have a career related to biology.

Nikola Čipčovská & Martina Kaščáková
Nikola enjoys painting and other creative
activities. Her interests include history and
biology. She also cares about the environment and issues connected to it. Martina loves to bake and enjoys educating herself. Experiences like participating in a biology project competition inspired her to join as ecological project. Nikola and Martina will present the project Erasmus+ to you. GLS takes part in "Growing Green Generations," an exciting project with schools from three other countries. Through this program they are trying to raise awareness for global warming, the environmental crisis, and ecology. They will explain how this project works and what opportunities participating in it provides.

Dárius Popík
Although he currently lives in Bardejov, he was actually born in Nitra. He spent most of his youth there, until a couple of guys who were up to no good started wreaking havoc in his neighborhood, scaring his mom into moving their family to Bardejov. He was quite popular back in his primary school where he won recitals and English competition awards. He is currently a third year student at GLS Bardejov, and maybe wants to be at your house party next weekend. What he lacks in the smarts he makes up for in passion, talking about stuff he likes, and what he would want to do regarding his interests.

Dominik Žofčin
He was born in a small town named Bardejov, Slovakia. From a young age he has taken part in many extracurricular activities, including the arts, music theory, martial arts and athletics. He's currently a student at the Grammar School of Leonard Stöckel, specializing in maths and science. He continues to participate in numerous school-related extracurricular activities to satisfy his hunger for knowledge. In his free time he enjoys playing the violin, reading fantasy novels, and deepening his understanding of the universe. In his talk, he will try to give you a better understanding of black holes and of the general theory of relativity.

Anna Olejar
Anna was a student in Ontario, Canada and lived there for 15 years before moving to Slovakia in the summer of 2021. She has experienced 15 years of a completely different education system, and 15 years of a world that is quite different from the one here in Bardejov. Canada and the United States of America have so many opportunities and unique potential jobs for those who are interested. Thus, she will be talking about all the interesting job opportunities in the Americas for those who want to go the extra mile.

Mário Brezaniuk
Mario is a current student of GLS and is interested in everything related to technology. He wants to study IT department and hopes to make big revolutionary changes to future technology. He is currently bouncing multiple big ideas in his head on how to make those revolutionary changes while balancing it with his passion for videogames. His gaming passion has always been strong and will always remain strong because it has shaped him into the man he is today. Mario also enjoys the music industry and travel, having already traveled half the world and hoping to see it all one day.

Addie MacLaughlin
Addie MacLaughlin is an American who has spent the past year as an English lecturer here at GLS. She is from Washington, DC and previously taught English in France. She will tell you a bit about her experience as a foreigner in Bardejov and why she will miss Slovakia.

Jay Rumas
Jay Rumas is an American Fulbright scholar living in Prešov. Much of his research focuses on democracy and engagement, populism, postcommunist politics in the former Warsaw Pact, and the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. Jay is collaborating with the Rusyn Institute of Language and Culture at the University of Prešov to research the appeal and effect of populist politics on the country's Rusyn population.
